Meet the Teacher!
My name is Mary Mitchell and I will be your son's/daughter’s first grade teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. This is my 13th year of teaching and my 3rd year at Franklin Academy. I have taught 9 years previously in first grade and 3 years in second grade. First grade is my favorite as I get the pleasure of watching each one of my students grow so much!!!
I reside in Palm City with my family and I have five children. My oldest is a junior at FSU. (Go Noles). My 2nd oldest is a freshman at Emmanuel College in GA where he plays lacrosse. I also have a junior at Martin County H.S. and my youngest are twins going into the 7th grade at Hidden Oaks Middle School in Palm City.
It is going to be an amazing year filled with many “firsts” and “fabulous” adventures. I look forward to meeting all of you very soon and to work with you throughout the year as our journey in first grade begins.
